Nothing like a good spoon-in-the-skull-gag!
Anyway, there's a long story behind this ridiculousness: My good buddy Casey, pictured here with the spooned cranium, has been doing a personal photo project involving plastic spoons. Don't ask me why, even longer story--short answer: BECAUSE IT'S AWESOME! On a weekly basis he puts up a new humorous spoon pic on his Myspace, and this makeup was created as part of an upcoming one.

After the actual photo session, we decided it was just too much damn fun to waste a spooned dome piece, so hence more photos.
The makeup was created with a trimmed down plastic spoon, some Ben Nye scar putty, prosaide, grease paints and blood. It took about 20 minutes all in all.
This being the first time I've really worked with the scar putty, I'm real happy with how it came out, especially blending the skin tones (finally getting better!!!)
